For your pet’s safety & health, to refill a medication at our vet hospital, through our online pharmacy or through a third-party pharmacy, one of our veterinarians must have examined your pet within the past 12 months.

Some medication refills require veterinary exams more than once per year to ensure your pet is not being negatively affected by the medication.
Heartworms are a serious and potentially fatal disease in cats and dogs, particularly in Scottsboro area with the prevalence of mosquitoes. Year-round heartworm prevention is the best method of protecting your pet.
To refill a heartworm prevention medication, a heartworm test must be performed on your pet annually.
Additionally, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners requires our veterinarians to have an active relationship with your pet to prescribe medicine. Williams Animal Clinic upholds the ethics standards required by our licensing board and professional association to maintain this veterinarian-client relationship.
